As the name suggests 24 hours of slot car racing around a huge circuit. A full commentary of the race was webcast to a surprisingly loyal auidence. Members of the public turned up to race at unearthly hours and there was even an exciting finished. On the Saturday racing was accompanied by video screenings, small race tracks and workshops.

After four days rehearsal and eating together nine companies presented short work in progress pieces for an audience of approximately 100. For the first time Pilot were able to offer space and time to artists who wanted to make site specific work.

Artists: Untied Artists, Gerard Bell, Needless Allies, Kindle, BoXed Productions, The Other Way Works, Pen Payne and Jon Nicholls, New Macho and Katherina Radeva.

Stalker Night

A DVD screening of Andrei Tarkovski's masterpiece is augmented by rain on the roof, Zone a photographic piece by David Bate, one performance piece by Stan's Cafe which works and another which doesn't.

Kindle built a hugely detailed dystopian world which filled The Americas. Having journeyed through this audience members were sat in a white cube constructed in Africa to eat a meal.

Eight companies present tasters of shows they hope to get commissioned. Audiences share their opinions, repesentatives of MAC and Warwick Arts Centre then choose. The winners are Untied Artists with Al Bowlly's Croon Manifesto and Caroline Horton with You Are Not Like Other Girls Chrissy. Also in the running are The Other Way Works with Avon Calling and Jane Packman with The Woods (which is later commissioned by MAC). Friction Theatre, New Macho, Onethousandladders and signs of life also do their things.
